Who Made This?
Gridle was built by Cole Durdan, a developer and word puzzle enthusiast who wanted a faster, more satisfying crossword experience for the modern web. After years of solving crosswords on slow, ad-heavy sites that hadn't changed since the early 2000s, Cole decided to build the version he actually wanted to use — clean, fast, mobile-friendly, and free.
The clue library, explanation pages, and daily puzzle engine were all built and maintained by Cole. If you spot a mistake in a clue or explanation, or if you have an idea for a new feature, he genuinely wants to hear from you.
